help getting online with ps2

i get internet to my computer through a wireless reciever and was wondering if there was a way i could set up some sort of network so i could run a ethernet cable from my computer to my ps2 and get online. if anybody knows a way for me to do this then please help. thank you.

I presume when you say wireless receiver, you mean wireless router??

If so, you can connect the PS2 to this using the Sony network adaptor, and then be able to get online :)

As MB says, you need the Sony Network Adaptor (here (http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00003E37F/026-0586941-4057200)).

That should sort you out.

I don't think Sony actually make a wireless adaptor for the PS2, the O/P will need (something like) the Linksys GWGA54G Game Adapter.

Yes-having re read the post, it's clear I jumped the gun with the wireless suggestion! :D

Sony still don;t make a wireless ethernet device though! :p:

EITHER:

#1 - CAT5 crossover cable your PS2 to the network adaptor on your PC

OR:

#2 - CAT5 straight cable you PS2 into the Router

Option 1 will require the PC to be switched on.
Both options require slimline PS2 OR PS2+network adaptor AND a network access disc.
