hi, all something i am unsure of i have a 2 meg line of ntl,at the moment, it is laggy for playing games like Halo, i did a speed test and the results read as such

your current band width is 1.27 Mbps , Question ???:erm: is this megabits or bytes

This means you can download at 162.06 KB/sec. from our server, question ??:erm: is this kilobits or bytes

1296.5 kbps YOU,:erm:
is this bits or bytes:erm: , i would sure like to know thank you, J.T.
and if the above speed how long would it take to download a 4 megabyte song, i mean how is it worked out:dunce: thank you , considering the line speed were perfectly consistent , thanks. j/t. :confused:

in this case, b means bits and B means bytes, i.e.

megabits

kilobytes

1296.5 kbps

bits

4MB (4096K) at 162.06KB/s => about 25 seconds

You may want to continue your previous thread regarding traceroute problems, you've opened up another thread with pretty much the same issues.

1st 128K took 1873 ms = 69980 Bytes/sec = approx 582 kbits/sec
2nd 128K took 1853 ms = 70735 Bytes/sec = approx 589 kbits/sec
3rd 128K took 1652 ms = 79341 Bytes/sec = approx 660 kbits/sec
4th 128K took 1612 ms = 81310 Bytes/sec = approx 676 kbits/sec

the tracert post i reposted again because it had been moved (merged,) and i was unaware of that, this post is not with "pretty much the same issues", if it was i would be wiser to those issues , thanking you kindly , actually more input on the tracert would be much appreciated, or perhaps clarification.:)
