OK, I'm a bit bogged down, been looking for cheap return flights to Spain from either Teesside or Newcastle, looking at flying out next week Tuesday / Wednesday ( not important and even these days are flexible ) only looking for one night and no hotel, just flight only.
Every cheap site I've been to is coming back with flights at well over 100 pounds

So where do you lot get yours from, any good sites, links please.

TIA

Lastminute.com is the obvious one. The alternative is to phone up the airline you want to travel with and ask for a standy-by ticket, if you're not bothered about which flight you're on that's a cheap way of travelling.

The problem is that most of the major airlines (and minor ones for that matter) have now adoped the Easyjet approach of selling the cheapest flights first then the price gradually increases the more they sell. The last few seats will be many hundreds of Pounds.

BA.com do have some good deals, but you have to be lucky, and again early.

I'll fly you from Teesside. It will be in a 4 seat Cessna172 or Piper Warrior mind you. It'll cost you an absolute fortune and take an age to get there but it will a flight to remember and will be better than any ride at Alton Towers.

http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/flightchecker/ Lets you search 4 of the big low costs in one go, the missing carrier being easyjet.

From Newcastle you could also try www.locoflights.com - from memory they Alicante and Tenerife, possibly Malaga. Quite cheap but not altogether reliable in that they hqave a reputation for changing flight times.

There's also www.cheapestflights.co.uk, www.flightline.co.uk and www.skydeals.co.uk.

For frills scheduled carriers such as BA etc you could try www.opodo.co.uk.

Newcastle Airport also has its own site: http://www.newcastle-airport.co.uk/ as does Durham Tees Valley (as Teeside has rebranded itself): http://www.durhamteesvalleyairport.com/devel/index.shtml

Good luck!

If you fancy a trip to a new airport Thomsons are now flying out of Robin Hood Airport near Doncaster, I think they are charging under £100.
