OK - first of all I think the best dunking drink is tea.

Then some of the best biscuits for dunking are Digestives, Nice and Ginger Snaps - and I'd say the Ginger Snaps get 1st place for me.

If you want the authority on biscuits then go here....

Currently they have a review on the new Marks & Spencer Dunking Cookies.
Their book is highly recommended....

Well, it also depends on the mood... sitting down to watch sport, then Malted Milk is good... but when it's a quick fix for a growing appetite, then I go for Petit Beurre. You have to be quick though... the option is to dunk and eat, so they dissolve on the tongue, or delay and end up with mulch in the tea.

At school I used to dunk chicken sandwiches in my coffee...

The aptly named "Dunkers" that I have not seen on the supermarket shelves for years.

Teardrop shaped for perfect dunking.

But Boasters are damn good too :D

If you swirl the dregs of tea and drink the mulch, there is no mess?

the skill is matching the biscuit to the drink, 'properly' ensures you do not get the gungey bit at the bottom of the cup.

ginger snaps work well with milkless tea ;)

True... there is also a speed/munch element... some bicuits can be leant against the side of the cup to allow surplus tea to drain out, whereas others (eg Petit Beurre) have to be dipped and munched in one swift motion... Good old Gingernuts are a fave too, and rarely break up.

Being not a tea or coffee drinker, I dont dunk.
Though a Foxes Rocky biscuit with a drink of applejuice is nice.

Warning: Always test your biscuit for hairline fractures before dunking. This is the dunker's nightmare. Nothing worse than half your biscuit falling off and plopping back into your cha.
Question is, do you risk burning your fingers to fish it out before it breaks up or do you risk missing the start of the TV programme whilst you make fresh cuppa?

The chap quoted, Len Fisher, wrote an extremely interesting book (whose name I forget) on various applications of science, The biscuit dunking work is covered in the first chapter.
