Seeing as this poll over on .com was pulled for no reason, I'll put it here instead.

What's your favourite most over-used phrase from NTL?

Now, why oh why would they want to stifle free speech like that?

our rights to free speech went in the european convention on human rights... cant say anything or do anything now without "human rights" being involved...

but since your right to free speech has been impeded maybe you could invoke the article on them ;)

my fave is "coming soon" after they told us many years ago our street would be cabled the upcoming november. november came, no ntl. and so on and so on they said "coming soon" until 4 years later the street was finally cabled... :erm::rolleyes:

Where's Rippedoff when you need him? I'm sure he'd have something to say about the number of times South London has been promised network upgrades ....

Pressing the digital text button to see "coming soon" was almost a little ritual for me:)

Hey... my first post on .co.uk!

It's weird, this feels familiar AND strange at the same time. Having seen the posts on the site so far, I'm looking forward to this site as my new NTHW home, if you'll have me.

I have been looking on with dismay at what is going down in .com The atmosphere is getting more and more dirty each day and tempers seem to flare more easily. I even posted a horrible post on the thread there discussing the advert, and was unforgivably rude to Carlingman... so I'd like to say sorry publically!

all of the above and more....

Love the latest on the BB help line

"If you are using windows XP or 2000 press 1"
"Hello, I am a virus technician, I just need to go through some tests with you to make sure your system is patched properly"

who wants to invest in sarf lundin tho? ;)

i spose we were lucky in that ntl installed the network around by us so it never had to be played around with/upgraded etc... once it got here it worked. and they even replaced the box-to-street cable that goes under the garden for free after mother put a shovel thru it... :erm:

If you knew the amount of people who come thru on the phones who have been in the queue for 45 mins as they have no connection.....
We do the cable modem reboot and they have the connection back again...

They always say "Why don't you post that message somewhere so we know what to do"!!!!

So now you know why it is there and be happy in the knowledge that very few people actually try it!!!
