now i have just checked and found out that my exchange is adsl enabled at last :dozey: , but i dont have a bt phoneline installed , the question is would bt reinstall a phoneline for free or not ?????? , answers on a postcard please :D :D
Very odd bussiness model that. Get a (up to) 4 meg line, at £15.50 a month, with 400 free minutes a month (1.5 hrs a week), and 2.5 p a minute after that.
Who would want a line that fast and then have to look at the clock and count the minutes? Use the web for three hours a week, and you pay £25 a month. NTL will give you a capped, but always on 2 meg line for that shortly.
You would end up paying £25 a month for checking your email
And you're forced to take a 'bulldog phone line' at £10.50 as well...
Broadband by the minute, that is bizarre!

Well spotted. It sounds like a con to lure in light users that will invariably less informed about the Internet.
Besides, on ADSL guides there are plenty of always-on broadband for less than, or around £15 a month. 512kbps as well! It isn't really clear, but it looks like you have to have a Bulldog line installed, which brings the price up to £23/month, base price, without any overuse charges.

subject to no outstanding charges on the line, installation will normally be free if no engineer visit is required.
However, i believe if an engineer is needed the fee is £75

If there's been a BT line in the property before, then BT will re-connect for free m8. :tu:
