Saw this on the news before and i couldn't understand this story on 2 counts.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/wales/3202633.stm

1) Who carries £10,000 around in plastic bags
2) Would you of given it to the police if you found it, not sure if i could say 100% i would of.

So vote on the poll above with what you would of done

isn't it normally the case that if someone doesnt collect it in a certain amount of time, you get it?

I'd hand it in. That amount of cash is seriously at risk of being very dodgy indeed. The best way of 'laundering' it in a legal way is to hand it in to the police, hope no-one claims it and then pick it up after 3/6 months or whatever. If it's claimed, someone has got their life savings back and you've done your good deed for the day. If they don't, you're quids in and you might even have hurt a criminal in the wallet.

Finally someone that is honest about what they would do;), i think with situations like this people would like to believe they would do the right thing. Reality is often different though :(

Got to admit, i would probably keep it and then keep my ears open for anyone losing cash. Anyone could go to the police and say they lost the cash....lets face facts there is no way you would ever see it.

very astute - salve the conscience & stand to gain as well. - you wouldn't want any publicity, though!;)

1. Throw a massive party for all my mates and matettes ;)

2. Cash in my current car and buy an even better one :D

3. Buy some fish food, blimey they look ill!

4. Have two burgers and not one!

5. Join an even more expensive gym!

6. Donate a minimum of £1 to charity :) ....When I say charity I mean the national lottery!...win some real cash! ..hedge my bets and spend a couple of hundred...well it's not my money!

7. I think you know how shallow I am now :p

8. If I had that money, I wouldn't have to charge Scooby for doing his/her avatar!! ;)

I know this is a bit greedy but i would have kept the money myself. I wouldn't have given it to anyone else.

I'd probably hand some of it in, and deny any knowledge of the thousands missing.
I would be concerned though that the money was stolen and serial numbers were known.

Hand it in without a moments hesitation. I'm not known as "Honest Jim" for nothing.

i probably would have kept "a bit" of the money and handed the rest in. you know, giving myself a reward and all..

my luck says that if i kept all of it then i would end up with 10 grand of fake notes... :erm:

Well.......

Hmmmm....

If i wanted some money like rite now id have kept it!

But i mite have given it in and hoped that no-one else claimed it and had it myself!

Although i dont think i wud have looked in the bag in the first place - could have been a bomb or something disgusting!

The lad has learnt a lesson there... (dunno what though).

Maybe the lesson was that if your honest & hand in 10K you get a nice letter for doing it. :D

I would have kept it, no problems.
