According to the register (http://www.theregister.co.uk/content/28/32599.html) if push came to shove a new poll for the new BT Yahoo service suggests were so deperate to keep our internet connection we'd give up all sort of stuff.

6 our of 10 give up chocolate

5 in 10 go teetotal

4 in 10 loose their mobiles

1 in 10 chuck thier girlfriend / boyfriend.


The phrase "get a life" comes to mind. So what would you give up

Whats the internet?

I'd give up fags (don't smoke anyway - you did mean cigs didn't you?)
I would quite happily ditch the mobile but work make sure I cannot as it's theirs

well I'd quite happily give up the internet, so long as I could still:-

use email
browse forums
update software
chat
use newsgroups
get the News from the BBC
get TV listings from Digiguide
find phone numbers for free (sorry Russ:))
google
- oh & sometimes stream radio.

I did just have a week away from phones, cable/satellite tv, tv remote control, teletext - and the net.

I missed the tv remote the most!:D

Well I'd ditch the TV but if I do everyone is going to want to use my PC to go online because they will have nothing to do.:(

Well, if I'm getting a choice, I'll give up work,
surfing the net is much more fun anyway. :D

Why give up work? I read somewhere recently that on average we all loose 2.5 hours a day from work browsing the internet, emailing, etc. Great - I'm getting paid for enjoying myself.

Oops probably a short sighted outlook on my job security :shrug:

hate to follow the trend but i'd give up the tv.....hardly watch it anymore, and there's more entertainment to be had on the net.......
but for me the question is redundant.....dad pays the bill :p

Id give up going to school and just get my work delivered to home. Much more relaxing.
