Imagine my surprise when i get an email from GAME, saying my order is now in the last stages of being picked, so in threoy ill could be playing GR:IT on wednesday or thursday!

Anyone else whos preordered it got an email yet?:o

No its not shipping early (well i very much doubt it!) game do this ALL the time -

It will just get sent on the thursday before release - dont get too exicted i thought this about the first few pre-orders with Game but relised they do this often! Youll probabbly still just get it on normal release!

Notice my av its the same person!:D I was gonna change it so the slow motion version of the brit and madonna kiss - but i reckon some mods mite not let me have it.. :(

Live will be worse for me as i wont even have GR:IT! Ill have to get it but KOTOR is more important for me at the moment!

KOTOR will be excellent, but i may not have enough time to finish it.

Im also looking forward to the Pirates of the Caribbean game, read a review of it and it sounds good, 2 RPGs in one month=serious dent in free time!

Oh and we can still play RTCW and SoF2! Stick 2 fingers up to those obessed with GRIT:LOL:

i was in town just now and GAME had ot in shelf with "reserve: out on friday" plastered on it.

Not suprised though if currys are selling it now...

I read somewhere that theres nothing locked on that game, unlike the first. Im hoping you get something for have the first game on your HD anyways

i did my first trade ever today :)

Got £15 for myst 3: exile...and i bought it last week from MVC for.... £15! :D So i effectively rented and completed the game for free :D

Got kung fu chaos instead...damn fun so far!

Not AFAIK. Then again, in the past few weeks, I wouldn't have a clue who I drank with towards the end of the evening.

BTW, play.com order history says my copy was mailed yesterday, which with any luck means I'll get it tomorrow or Friday. :D

Errr...no. Got mine this morning. :D

Don't expect more than what you saw in GR. Lots of new maps though. The only extra lobby item is the 5-bar connection strength/speed under each game.

The secondary weapon graphics look as though they have been removed.

Er, I was in my local game shop today and, er...well...er, I got a copy of GR:IT for the price of £4.99 Yes, yes, I know i said I would'nt get this game but for £4.99 how could I refuse? By the way, before you go running down to your local video game shop you won't find it at this price - its £19.99 to you lesser mortals!:p Try buying it on the web, i've heard you can get a copy for around £15.

Play are usually slow, but i think they posted grit on time as they say. Got mine yesterday morning, so I think its the post that's the problem.

Ok - I traded some games in. For Colin McRae 3 I got £15.00 making GR:IT £4.99 The good news though was that I traded in Midnight Club and Panzer Dragoon Ortra and got FULL PRICE for them! It pays to look after your games!! The two other new games I got where Baldur's Gate and Toe Jam & Earl. :D

Just went straight online into the game...great stuff, a couple of questions

How do I get some of the weapons others are using, I seem to have a choice of 4 male/female soldiers with standard weapons?

I hosted a 7 player game and after 2 mins got some message about cannot find connection check cable, is this dure to my 600 NTL service, as I played in loads of other games, not hosted by me no problems?

I'm not sure about the weapons (I think some may have to be unlocked in the single player mode - although your standard male & female soldiers still have several weapons each anyway).

Bad hosting....yes, it's cos of your 600k connection.

Hosting requires a good upload. The higher your upload, the more players you can host.

The NTL 600k service only has an upload of 128k (whereas the 1meg service has a 256k upload).

GR is quite a bandwidth hog, & it can be hard sometimes to host 7 or 8 players with the 1meg connection, let alone the 600k connection.

You can't host many players at all with the 600k service. 4 would be OK. 5 would probably be pushing it.

600k service is better for joining other people's games rather than hosting your own.

I saw that most of the NTHellworld crowed were on GRIT last night. I was able to hook up with Zoombini and RedDevil63 for a bit, but that was all. I should be on again today and tonight (off work due to that horrendous cold that's going round), so keep a look out, and I'll do the same.

PS. I'll be a joiner rather than a hoster. My 600kbps connection only lets me host a game of two. :(
