I seem to remember that WMP 9 has the beginning of Digital Rights Management ( DRM ) buried in it? I therefore have not updated my WMP to V9.

Does anybody out there know whether I am crying wolf and being overly cautious, or what?

I have had WMP9 befor I formated, not bad but quite a few gliches, went back to 8 after format, much more stable IMHO that is, dont get me wrong, it did play more file types " off pat " than 8 without d\ling codecs but..... wasn't right, stick with 8

Must agree with the above, i tried ver 9 of media player, gave it a couple of days, then went back to 8...i think it is a case of "if it aint broke, dont fix it"

Alferret, XP anti spy from grc.com is useful in that way. The site is interesting and includes a firewall test. A lot to read.
