detailed analysis of the EFF database which has information of who has been issued a subpeona and the list of songs illegally traded has shown avril lavigne to be at the top of the list

Avril is the Vanessa Paradis of the 21st century though.. similar look and a singing talent that may be liked now, but I doubt will stand the test of time... look at how most of the recent groups have gone....

I hope you are right, but I feel you aren't...
The fact remains, however you look at it that only a very few artists stand the test of time. Madonna is one such artist, Michael Jackson, The Beatles, The Strolling Bones, err... Rolling Stones, etc.

Avril is like so many hopefuls, she has her time of success, but I think in 5 years time she will be but another entry in the annals of music history.
