Nearest I've been is clay pidgeon shooting - it's not as easy as I thought it would be.

Why? Because I enjoy shooting, and I enjoy competitions between my buddies and I. And why not?

Right now I'm saving up for an AR-15. They are about $800 and are based on the M16.

I'm with Ben Elton on this. In order to get a gun license, you need to fill out this one question form. The question is "do you want to own a gun?" If you answer yes, the license is rejected...

Yes it is legal, but we are in general require you to be more responsible to own a gun. For example, you can't store it with ammo, and you must store it in a locked place with a trigger lock, etc.

What I really want is a M16 with all the goodies and extras, but I don't have $30 grand. Eh.

I was born in a country where you can buy AK-47s for a few dollars. I enjoyed firing an AK-47. :) I would love to own one, with full magazine clip, but they are too expensive here and they don't like it if you import AK-47s.
