I have one of the small silver NTL cable modems (NOT a set top box). It comes with an internal preset I.P address of 192.168.100.1 for diagnostic purposes, if however you use this it will ask for a username and password.

Could anyone tell me what these are.

Many thanks

if you have an ambit 120 with no logs in the internal diagnostics (that you can find)

you can access it from the following link

http://192.168.100.1/P_log.htm

for some reason on the ambit 120 cable modems they didnt put the link on the interface to see your logs, but you can do with that link :)
