Hiya,
Can someone tell me how to install BB on windows 98 without the disc please. It will be with using USB as well.
Im sure I seen a thread somewhere about this but it was about 2000 or xp.

The thread you're thinking of is here: http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/showthread.php?t=7603

Is there no way you can use ethernet instead of USB?

It's a lot less hassle, easier to set-up, & gives a better connection.

But, if you have to use USB, then have a read of:

All you would need from the ntl Broadjump CD are the USB drivers for the cable modem.

They can be found here:

Can someone tell me what driver is needed for windows 98 .....for the cable modem that is supplied by NTL. It is the ordinary siler cable modem but it does not have any markings or makes on it.
Also....is it easy to install (im not using the BB disc). Do I have to install the driver first and then plug in the modem or do I plug in the modem and let windows 98 detect it and then install the driver from their?

Thanks

Are you using ethernet or USB?

If it's ethernet, you don't need to do anything except plug your ethernet cable into your NIC.

If it is usb, get the drivers from here:

http://homepage.ntlworld.com/triage/drivers/

the silver modem is an Ambit modem.
