Although, I have got through the registration process by using the https://80.5.178.26 page , but I have now hit a problem. I got the page which gives you the membership number and then once the modem rebooted, I quit the page and the modem (NTL:Home 200) came back online. Now its doing weird things the D/S light blinks every second or so, the sync light goes of every 30 seconds or so and the ready light keeps flashing very fast.

I have reset both PC and modem a couple of times and its still doing it? Does anyone have any ideas????

Thanks

The ready and sync lit stayed lit. D/S and U/S light flashing intermittenly whilst carrying out the registration process.

Noticed that the D/S light is flashing every second. The ready light is flashing on / off every half a second and has not stablished on the last hour.

I'm afraid if the RDY light is off or flashing, and it hasn't been resolved by rebooting the modem, you're likely to need an engineer - you'll have to ring Technical Support on 0845 650 0121 (8am-Midnight, seven days a week).

Hiya :)

can you connect to the modem diagnostics at all ?

http://192.168.100.1/

user name/password are admin/admin or root/root

what does it say for the first two numbers in the IP adress e.g. 10.189.xx.xx?

and the up/down power levels & signal to noise ratio?

- but jimbo is prolly right, flashing rdy light usually needs an engineer :(

ummmmmmmmmmm, i would suggest ringing c.s. and trawling thru the menus , as far as i can see t.s. is now free to call thru the c.s. menus

Thanks for all the replies.

Must be the golden touch!!! I unplugged the modem, and rested for 10 minutes and resat the cable connections from the wall and rebooted the computer for the tenth time. After the modem stabilished and it then went back to how it was before registering, and now is working fine.

Thanks for all your help.
