I'm just wondering how contractors manage CPD when the nature of the work means that you're never certain of anything - location, hours, or wage. My contract is two months long, but it could be extended. I'd hate to commit to a college course if in 2 months time I'm in the dole queue, say, or forced to relocate. The specialist training courses with training providers are just too expensive. Any thoughts? CPD (and PDP) are interests of mine, and until now I'd not realised how difficult life is for a contractor :) I'm not even certain that I'll keep on doing contracting work - ideally I'd like a permanent job, but money is money.
