Son got his SACM testerday tried all night with bb cd rom to register ,couldnt, i did with auto register today but now coming up, dns error cant find server, have checked settings etc all at default any ideas?

Have you tried pinging and loading up the config page of the modem?

Ping- open a command window and typing "ping <ip address>" at the prompt

Config page- type the IP of the SACM in the Address bar of a browser

The IP of the SACM is probably 192.168.100.1

Check your upstream and downstream signal strengths and blah blah...

If all seems normal but it doesn't work turn the PC and SACM off for 60s and try again

If it's not working still i think there may be a registration issue still- phone ntl TS if you're still worried...

thanks for all the advice. it turned out to be norton firewall ,disabled it and all working ok now , have enabled windows firewall .tomorrow i am going to install sp2 cd rom wish me luck.

dont rely on windows firewall , bad move :disturbd:

get a proper firewall solution sorted out ;)
