How cool is this - I could get out of bed at twenty past eight and land at work for half past!

Can any automobile give you this scenario? From your garage to your destination, the M400 Skycar can cruise comfortably at 350+ MPH and achieve up to 28 miles per gallon. No traffic, no red lights, no speeding tickets. Just quiet direct transportation from point A to point B in a fraction of the time.

Nem - have you seen that car!!!???

Braggers rights for being the coolest person in Scunthorpe would mean that I wouldn't actually have to do any work ;)

Mind you, I think it's fair to say that I'm the coolest person in Scunthorpe anyway! :D

woah ... nice.

Sadly they haven't actually got one to fly in a straight line yet - and when they do, to buy one looks like costing $500,000 :disturbd: Pity, cos I'd love one of those!

It looks like they expect to get FAA certification for it by the end of 2006 anyway.

I wouldn't fancy having an ATA (air traffic accident) in that thing at 350+ mph .. or any other speed come to think of it...
Even if you've got AA/RAC breakdown assistance, you're going to worry a bit more about the ground hurtling towards you than you are about getting on your mobile phone ;)

You'll be alright - it comes supplied with a parachute (and, presumably, the prayer book of your choice ;) )

Don't be silly - it's legs would never reach the pedals!
