port blocking? odd problem

so aim suddenly cut off and won't connect, and any p2p programs don't work, and any url with a non-standar port number doesn't work. yahoo messenger i got to work by using the 'firewall with no proxies' option - which uses just http requests.


are ntl blocking non http stuff?


also how can i set aim to connect the same way i did with yahoo?

nm worked out how to get into aim. used one of ntls proxies

are ntl blocking non http stuff?Nope, judging by the other thread you also posted in, there appears to be a connectivity problem outside of the ntl network which will no doubt get sorted (if it hasn't already).
