Cant Release / Renew IP Address.............!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi

I am having problems with getting an IP Address from the NTL DCHP servers.

It started on Sunday I was on the internet, it went off and still hasn't come back on.
I have reinstalled WinXP Pro and still can't install the BB setup software.

I have spoken to NTL and they say they need to visit to look at the box.

Is there nothing I can do at my end to try and resolve this problem ?

Do you have a stand alone cable modem ?
if so are the rdy and sync lights on solid as in not flashing ?
I take it you have rebooted the modem ?

No its a Set Top Box (STB?)....everything else works OK, TV, Phone and both green lights are steady and Stable.

which version of windows are you using? are you using the ethernet cable or the usb adaptor?
