I can finally play this online!!

But not with xbconnect only gamespy!

So who uses it on here?

No, Always freezes up,

But gamespy did do taht but since an update its working much better

Gamepsy is crap!- it always used to freeze up and lag badly on my pc never worked properly - only use XBC - much better! Juts keep trying with xbconnect it generallyworks! But i dont think anyone uses gamespy for halo?

I've got to say that I prefer XBC or XLink to Gamespy. IC, I'm surprised you couldn't get XBC to work.

Its the winpcap file that freezes my machine i think....

The latest version of gamespy doesnt use that any more witch is way it doesnt freeze.

I think you can get a different version of Winpcap. I'm sure it says something about it at the XBC site.

Yeah, the latest version of WinPCap can be found here (http://winpcap.polito.it/install/bin/WinPcap_3_0_beta.exe)

EDIT: I've also found on the XBX Help Website (http://www.xbchelp.com/faq/) a list of three drivers you can try:


Driver 3.0 (beta) (http://winpcap.polito.it/install/bin/WinPcap_3_0_beta.exe)
Driver 2.3 (http://winpcap.polito.it/install/bin/WinPcap_2_3_nogui.exe)
Driver 2.2 (http://windump.polito.it/misc/bin/2.2-WinPcap.exe)

Not sure. I guess you just uninstall the existing version & then install the other version you want to use.
