Yes it is possible.

Simply walk into any Game store or other store selling XBL and purchase a new Live kit.

With this you get the ability to make a new gamertag (providing its not used by anyone else).

Costs you about £39.

Other than that your stuck with the one you got (As Mark said).

No you cant change it - but under certain circumstances MS can chnage it - such as if the username was rude or using abbusive language but thast the only time it will gte changed!
