Hi,
About half an hour ago, I lost my broadband connection.

The sync and rdy lights on the modem went out. When I power-cycled the modem, the leds showed that it was reaching downstream locked but would not find an upstream channel. (According to the information at http://www.ntlworld.com/help/manual/Prodspec.htm#initial)

Called NTL and spoke to someone who said I'd need an engineer around. They were going to call me back to arrange a time.

However, within the last couple of minutes, the cable modem has started working again (as you can tell...)

Should I call them and cancel? Wait until they try and schedule the appointment? Or should I still have them come around and take a look?

Or, are other people in this area also having a problem?

[EDIT]: OK, just saw the status page about power problems. I called a mate with a working connection and asked him to check the status page before I phoned. He didn't see the problem listed.

Thanks,
Mark
