View Full Version : Broadband keeps disconnecting
I have had this problem for over 2 months, the engineers have been out twice but have not been able to provide a long term solution. I have tried my connectin with another PC & my Xbox and they both work fine. I am convinced it is one of 2 things..
1. I have a nasty virus
2. My connection settings are all screwed up...probably more likely.
I am running XP an it is a direct RJ45 connection from the modem to my pc.
Please help...
could be caused by fractured solder joints on rj45 connector (especially if its surface mount as opposed to pin thru hole)
I cant see how it would be as I am using that ethernet cable for my xbox & I have used it on another PC, both of which are working perfectly...

Possibly a faulty network card in that PC then?
