email is working but need help

Hi,

installed office xp the other day and now have outlook instead of oe. How can i go back to oe?? If I uninstall office outlook does it do it?

you can run both - oe has a newsreader but outlook doesn't. Should just be a case of finding the oe executable. Mine is in c:\program files\outlook express\msimn.exe
When it starts it will ask if it should be made the default email client

Outlook shouldn't overwrite the shortcuts for OE, I have never seen it do this on any machines that I have owned, sold, upgraded or repaired (which runs into the thousands brackets).

I have Office XP on 5 systems here and the shortcuts for OE are still there on each one of them.

You will have O/E pre-installed anyway. Start>all programs>Microsoft Outlook Express. When you open it for the first time it will ask you to setup a mail account. Any probs pm me.:p
