Mmm, off to raid my collection of single malts - which will it be? Jura? Isle of Arran? Macallan?

all 3 ?

Switch Talisker for Macallan, I'm losing track of what's in my cupboard :D

I went for the Jura, I was more in the mood for the Arran (it's lighter) but it's at the back of the cupboard behind a load of junk - we had viewers round the house at the weekend, panic tidying etc :erm:

Still, there's a very pleasing depth to the Jura which I am now happily exploring whilst posting this.

:)

Anybody guessed, Mrs Towny is out for the evening ...

Well, my tip for a well stocked cabinet is find a job where you get to spend lots on printing things, then always use Scottish printers. Come Christmas time, just watch those tall, rectangular packages land in your in-tray. ;) :D

I have five in all - there's a couple of blends as well.

The only bottle I bought myself was the Arran, when we were on hols there (The very first distilling should be about 10 years old now, and is well worth getting hold of if you can).

Yeah - but if buxom woman comes on here I'd be swinging from the rafters... and I'm not telling you what I'd be swinging from ;):D

Nope, the younger generation doesn't know how to handle its drink, which is a little different. The older generation is alcoholic because you have to have the money before you can p--- it up the wall. :(

On the basis that your complaining that you cant have a drink, and join in with the rest of us alcoholics (try fyping that when youv'e had a couple of Speckled Hens), which suggests your under age: You should be in bed :erm: :D

It'll cost more than that in postage, 1st class. But at least the thought is there.

Erm, was there a need to bump a thread which was last posted to in August 2004? (especially as the person you're asking a question of hasn't actually posted at all since his last post in this thread - 17th Aug '04)

I was leaving the message for P.Walthew, an old boy I used to go to school with. Did you know that in 1994, he broke 4 of my floppy disks and has yet to replace them? He still owes me £2.47 for the buggers. He's a menace to society, that one...

If I remember correctly, there is also a little known French wine called Jura; yellowish, if I recall even more vaguely. And, yes, the Jurassic era was named after the same Jura mountains.
