Just about to move house. Am currently with NTL but when I move I want to go to BT Broadband. This is currently 19.99, but says "connection for one PC", the 24.99 one says "connection for more than one PC". I use a wireless router to connect a laptop wirelessly. How do BT stop you from doing this with the 19.99 package? Do I have to take the 24.99 package if I want a network? Please advise!
Thanks

I'm taking a guess here but perhaps the 24.99 package is a dual IP one? like NTL has for the XBOX live service etc.

I dont know if BT could stop you using a router, try it and see if it works.

It's not a dual I.P service, it's just a package with a low monthly data transfer limit (1 gig I think) per month. Whereas the £24.99 per month allows for 15 gig per month limit, & is therefore more suitable for more than one PC.

HTH.

afaik they cant stop u from using a router and it takes a fair amount of knowledge for them to be able to say it's a router and not a pc. if its the £19.99 package from bt then does'nt it have a cap of a gig a month? this might be the reason they describe it as a single pc connection(coz its very easy to do a gig a month on 1 pc never mind 2)

beaten to it lol
