Hi,

I have cancelled the TV portion of my NTL (got Sky+ only about 2000% better, still the outer mogolian washing machine company probably could do better then NTL), i've still got 600K BB and Telephone (for the moment....). I called Wednesday last week and they asked to pick up the box Thursday, which they did (although the guy tried to remove the entire service!). Anyhow i've been thinking isn't there a 30 day notice period and if so why was the box removed in 24 hours? Or have i avoided the notice?

Any ideas? Dave

Not sure on this one .... You have to give 30 days if your within the first 12 months ... after that I'm not sure.

You have to give 30 days notice but I would imagine that if they remove the STB before that notice period expires they cannot charge you for the service after they have removed it.

I've been with NTL over 12 months and they removed my TV yesterday after about a week's notice.

Have a read here about my migration to Sky+, being installed tomorrow!

Did you get a receipt for the box? If not it might have gone onto the black market.
