We didn't see this one coming! Cable & Wireless Plc (C&W) has purchased UK broadband ISP Bulldog Communications for the tidy sum of £18.6 Million.
"The acquisition of Bulldog will accelerate our ability to deliver directly connected DSL (digital subscriber line) solutions for our existing and potential customers," Cable & Wireless Chief Executive Francesco Caio said in a statement.
It's unclear exactly what this will mean for the future, could Bulldog become C&W or will it simply be owned by them and no more? We simply don't know. Hopefully their innovative approach to broadband will continue, with ADSL2/2+ services due later this year.
