Tweenies site working fine here via Broadband plus.
Looks a bit scary to me! But then, don't all kids programs these days...

Just downgraded my speed from 1mb to 600K from the 31-05-2004
Lass I spoke to said they've had quite a few doing this
No official date for the speed increase yet (just late summer)
No confirmation of upload speeds (too technical for her!)

I downgraded too, from what I was informed, it was all the fault of the marketing department ! I can see where they're coming from with that explanation, maybe the managing director of NTL knows nothing about this increase and all the customers jumping ship to a lower speed or leaving NTL altogether.
Maybe when somebody whispers it in his ear while giving him his coffee and morning paper, he may have the sense to give every member of the marketing department 1000 lines, " We are not here to think up ideas to make the company less money ".

I have also had terrible dealings with the payment department of NTL to the point ( I pay direct debit ) I had to shout at them to make them take my money, I eventually ended up owing them £160 through pure stupidity.

That particular department if i was running the show, wouldnt get lines, they would be shot, several times,

Gone back to 600k as of today... the 1mb was never 1mb anyways, it was more like 850k when measured using any speed test. Now am back on 600k - it is measured as 600k which is fair enough.....

Roll on BT... cant wait to get shut of nthell... been nothing but a nightmare.

Downgraded 2 weeks ago to 600kb after two years on 1mb. Seriously thinking of throwing out the TV also as its a waste of money.

I dunno - I find my TV quite useful. :)

Just seen this thread... been posting in others... ive just gone back to 600k as well... or gone back to 550k as it is - which with compression rates at just less than a 500k connection....

Am looking at gettin plusnet adsl for £31.99 for 2mb service or sommat like pipex which is £29 for 1mb service... but im sure their 2mb service will be cheaper than NTL's 1mb service.

I downgraded back to 600 last week. If/When the 1mb speed is increased then I might go back up to the top tier.
