No email on ntl for 24hrs

I checked my emails yesterday at approx 4am and it was fine (got the usual 40 or 50 spam messages + christian spam!!!!!!, is this you Russ?) came home from work around 12 midday and have had this message ever since

"The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'pop.ntlworld.com', Server: 'pop.ntlworld.com', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10061, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E"

Is it NTL or is it me?

check your zone alarm is functioning correctly and not blocking your e-mail program

I've just realised that for some reason outlook 2k is receiving emails instead, but I didn't change anything since yesterday morning. most peculiar as I haven't opened outlook for ages until just now

Mine was down all day yesterday, didn't get any mails till 10am this morning.
