Cable merger deal now set?

Telewest is expecting its restructuring of £3.5billion to be finished by the beginning of July according to reports. The Independant newspaper has said that this would pave the way for a merger with NTL.
The group hopes to make court applications later on in April to start the process of having its debt cancelled.
However, The Independant reports that there is some who still doubt Telewest’s and ntl’s drive to turn cable services in the UK into a serious threat. More at Sky News.
