ntl release new Broadband Modem

# 10 March 2005, 23:25 by Nemesis

Today ntl announced the launch of a new Stand Alone Cable Modem (SACM). Press release below.

“From today, 14th February, we have introduced a new Stand Alone Cable Modem – the ntl:250. This modem is an enhanced version of the existing modem (the ntl:200) and has the same functionality plus enhancements based on research and feedback.

The new modem is blue, smaller, lightweight and designed to stand upright to allow improved airflow (to reduce heat). A series of helpful stickers, designed to reduce calls into Technical Support have been added and Velcro in the packaging to allow customers to stick the modem’s stand to a surface if they wish.

NOTE: The ntl:250 modem is for new customers and a replacement for faulty modems for existing customers. However, existing ntl:200 modems will be used until current supply has finished. Customers may not swap their modem for a new one unless it is faulty.”
