Cable had been cut

Virgin have been really helpful recently, I've just had an extension built and needed a new cable run for a second box. Blah blah

Long story short, a joiner to get the black outside cable into my house has cut the end of the cable to get it through the wall like a right ****! Anyhoo, can i buy a connector from anywhere to reconnect it so I can start using it?

I hope this makes sense.

Re: Cable had been cut

I think virgins coax cables have the ends fused to give them better performance, so it could just be worth phoning them and asking for a new cable to be sent

Re: Cable had been cut

A fused connector or a standard one from a DIY shop shouldn't make a massive difference so you should be ok to buy one

Re: Cable had been cut

Thanks for your replies

Got a connector from B&Q, with some pushing and cutting got it to fit, just.... working until I can get it crimped properly.

Thanks again
