Old Firm game tomorrow has been cancelled as a mark of respect for Phil O'Donnell.

Re: Football : Season 2007/2008
I have just sat and watched Aston Villa play Spurs, and although it was an enjoyable game, the decisions by the referee was again under question, and the biase commentator of Andy Gray, it was only half way through the match when it was announced that the referee 'Tanner' was an inexpereienced referee, with ONLY 16 Prem GAMES under his belt, yet you have a fully experienced ref. Rennie, as a fourth official, l appreciate that ref's have to learn, but to me they should run the line, of prem games for at least TWO years, before they tackle, such highly motivated games, and Andy Gray was never a Manager, so why should he comment on games.

Re: Football : Season 2007/2008
Uriah Rennie, your havin a larf, one of the most incompetent officials currently on the list, just check how many Premiership games he has actually been given this season and check on the comments on his performance in that game.
Now we might not always agree with Andy Gray, Alan Green, Alan Hansen etc, but they have as much right as you, I or anyone else to an opinion, its called free speech.
Jim.

So it appears that Fergie was not happy with the Man U fans, as they were too quiet.
Maybe they were nursing New Years hangovers!!!!

If fergie was in the stretford end with us yesterday I'm sure he would have thought differently!

Doesn't surprise me. I've been to the theatre of chavs once and was amazed how quiet 75,000 fans can be even when they are winning. 35,000 Spurs fans with the 'ump still outchant a happy OT quite considerably.
As much as I dislike Roy Keane, I think he was onto something with the prawn-sandwich comment. Except he should have taken it further. Its not just in the boxes that the prawn-sandwich-mentality exists.

Hope you had a good time.
I don't think fergie is doing himself any favours by getting himself on the wrong side of the fans though.

I've been to OT quite a few times and every time the atmosphere has been great, apart from one time when i sat in the south stand which is mostly populated, no disrespect, old foggies and corprate people who just sit there for 90 minutes. I've been to other premier league stadiums and nothing gets close to the atmosphere at OT in my opinion. Maybe it's changed recently as i havn't been this season?

Your spot on, it will only make things worse between the supporters. Unfortunately the hardcore support is being priced out of going the games, I can only see things getting quiter as its bringing a different type of fan to the games now

Re: Football : Season 2007/2008
It makes me laugh when everyone moans about OT. It's like that everywhere now...our recent game at Anfield, it was our fans you can hear.
The fans that go to the away matches have always been the more hardcore of any club and more likely to actually sing...
