Samsung Galaxy Wave

Can't see a post here about my question and apologies if it has appeared and I missed it.

How do I disable voice mail on this phone, it is a VM contract phone? Voice mail option 0 "Help" doesn't help me a jot.

I have my phone on silent most of the day because of my job and I don't really have the time to listen to all the pointless messages I get left by my friends asking "why don't you answer your phone?" and other such pointless comments.
