Not yet! The BBC has two weeks left to buy Scripps' 50% share which it can then sell onto someone like ITV or keep for itself
There is a change of ownership clause in place for UKTV. So when Discovery purchased Scripps, the BBC has the option to acquire Scripps' 50% stake.

The article says that the BBC has an automatic 90 day window to purchase the stake following the sale to Discovery. There are 2 weeks left for them to do so - the BBC would then immediately sell the share on to ITV.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2018)
I simply do not know how VM run there business. They don't add channels until a deal is up.
What a way to run a company. Customers want new channels to come onto the next network. Does this mean that VM wont add SA until 2019 ?
If l was running a company, and there were channels out there that customers would want. I would contact that company - discuss a deal and then put the channel on.
No wonder customers are looking elsewhere for companies with better service and better channels

Virgin Media's deal with Sky for all Sky own Channels is up in May 2019.
Sky own Sky Sports, Sky Cinema (It was called Sky Movies in 2014) and Sky Basic (Sky One, Sky News and Sky Sports News)
|
So then virgin could ask to review deal to try and get customers UHD, what they waiting on, its another year 2 and a half years since i got v6

More on that UKTV story.

Discovery is working on an alternative plan for breaking up UKTV, the Telegraph said. BBC had earlier approached Sky Plc (SKYB.L) as a potential partner in the joint venture but the talks did not work out, the report added.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2018)
With the recent UHD offerings on the V6 box, has there been any word on the HDR update?
I guess it depends on if the UHD trials are going well

A case of trying to run before Virgin can walk?

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2018)
THe HDR update is in the latest software which arrived here several weeks ago. Netflix has it working fine.
But there are no HDR channels available - no even on Sky.

Actually, reading your post did remind that when I used Netflix on the V6 app, the tv did go into HDR mode.
I usually use the Netflix app on my TV so completely forgot
