Don't think anyone has made an official offer yet but Inter, Barca & Real are interested.
Seems to be a lack of loyalty from Arsenal players in the past few years.

Have to agree. Eto'o is a world class player and I think he is worth the 24mil.

They don't have to make an offer do they? Thought he was buying out the rest of his contract

Yep and when you consider some of the fees paid, £24 million is a bargain imo

Read somewhere a week or so ago that he wasn't going to buy out his contract.....but things change so it may still happen.

Re: Close Season Transfer Rumour Mill
Chelsea will continue to pursue the players sacked boss Avram Grant wanted to sign this summer - and will pay up to £50m for Liverpool striker Fernando Torres. (Daily Mail)
Grant also wanted AC Milan midfielder Kaka and Chelsea could offer Didier Drogba, Ricardo Carvalho and cash to secure him. (Daily Mail)
Are Chelsea turning into Real Madrid? Just buy all the ready made talent out there and not bother buying or bringing up young players. It wouldn't suprise me if they say they want to buy Ronaldo soon as well.

The Daily Mirror claims United are set to splash £50 million on Sevilla's Brazilian striker Luis Fabiano, clubmate and countryman Daniel Alves and Manchester City defender Micah Richards.
Real Madrid head coach Bernd Schuster hopes to secure the services of Arsenal's Alexander Hleb after overcoming the initial surprise of his availability.

Re: Close Season Transfer Rumour Mill
Cristiano Ronaldo could make a definitive step in forcing his exit from Manchester United by putting himself on the transfer list. (Spanish sports paper Marca, 0815 BST)
Tut tut, they still won't stop despite the threats, still what goes around comes around I guess

What is it with this Marca newspaper? They just make up story after story trying to unsettle players. I thought the English media was bad but this is something else. Madrid are doing this but behind the name of a newspaper even though Ronaldo has said he's staying, it's pathetic.

Any particular "united" being referred to in the first paragraph?
Or is it more arrogance on the part of some followers of a certain side.

When did he say that? If he did all the speculation would go away
The comments from both clubs are the latest twists in a story that has rolled on for months, with Ronaldo refusing to state publicly and unequivocally that his future lay with United.
After United's victory in the Champions League final over Chelsea, he told BBC Sport: "I don't promise nothing. I don't promise nothing to my mum, I don't promise nothing to supporters."

He said it after the final in an interview with ITV. The question was 'you can't leave this club now surely?' and he said I stay, i stay here. I've watched the video a million times because it includes the penalty shoot-out lol. He's also said throughout the season he's happy here. Ofcourse he may backtrack and go against his word but anyway it doesn't matter what he says, the club has said he wont be leaving and are not prepared to sell, that should be the end of it. If Ronaldo wants to leave then he will tell United, not Madrid. United will tell Madrid if they are prepared to sell. If he does want to go i hope we refuse to sell to Madrid and sell him to Barca just to **** Calderon off, although thats unlikely. The Marca newspaper is just used by Madrid to unsettle players and it shouldn't be allowed, i would have complained to FIFA long ago because this hasn't happened just this season but the past two or three.

Exactly. Managers/Clubs are total hypocrites when they talk about other clubs unsettling their players. Indeed, what goes around does come around. Fans always moan about it when someone tries to 'unsettle' one of their own, but I bet if their own club expressed an interest in a player already contracted to another club, there wouldnt be much of a fuss. Whatever channel this 'interest' is expressed through can still be seen as unsettling a player.
At the end of the day it doesnt matter whether a club is bidding for Ronaldo or not. Commeth the hour, it will only be him who can decide if he wants to stay at Utd. You can't blame others for prising him away, if that does happen. I suspect if he was paid 50 grand a week more to play in Spain then he would get at Utd, then he is off. There's only one thing a lot of players are loyal too nowadays, and their current club isn't one of them.
