Any suggestions about using old Tivo box going to LG 4K tv and want to use a soundbar?
My Tivo only works with both HDMI and optic cable connected to TV
LG soundbar needs optic cable from TV to get it to work so unable to use both
There has to be a simple solution to this but I can't find one
Hi BenMcr
That's what I thought but as soon as I switch optical to soundbar No picture on Tv only sound from Tivo but as soon as optical put back picture returns

Thank you RobboEdin & BenMcr Reset Tivo and guess what? Sorted!
Now why didn't I think of that??????
Now appreciate why the LG soundbar was so cheap and that's another lesson learned today

Once again thanks
Sound bars can sound vastly different depending on where you put them so have a play around about where you put it. Even simple things like 4 felt pads underneath can help enhance the base.
Also it will have different sound settings like Movies, night time, etc. For a bizarre reason my Samsung soundbar sounds the best on Sports settings (along with a tweak of the treble and base)
