Re: Microsoft fix bricks some AMD PCs

One fix - run the trouble shooter for Update. This shows 2 issues but one is reboot needed first which leads to another loop.

I think I'm just going to wait a little to see if others have more specific fixes for the patch and error combination. Yes there are some risks but in my case how great are they really? Could there be some really old driver or software I've forgotten about that causes the problem? Is there a known issue on my kit (not AMD) that needs some other preparation work before Windows patching?

I think what MS need is some sort of scanner that I can run that will highlight know problem code/drivers/hardware. Then I can source out how to fix it.
