A civilian cargo plane crash at Bagram Air Field north of Kabul in Afghanistan has killed seven people.

Horrific footage of the crash.

Horrific indeed.

The wide-angle lens of the camera used for that footage may be distorting things somewhat, but the aircraft's angle of attack seems quite steep to me. It does appear as if the plane stalled and came to almost a complete standstill in mid air.

Anyone with any experience of these things care to offer an opinion?

Rumours say a shifted load. It was carrying "vehicles" to Dubai.

Re: Plane Spotters Corner

as aircraft engineer have worked on many aircraft mainly military over the last 20 years but before that on civil aircraft

lots of technology has been passed down to other disclipines like vehicles and even broadband

Been fantastic with working on the line seeing in and seeing off aircraft

But is not the best job in the winter remember working on the line with three pairs of gloves three coats and it was snowing so not always the best

appreciated a nice warm hangar

Seen the legs being refurbished and the brake sets look quite complicated

worked on secondment at a company that specialized in c-130

to be honest best thing is watching them on the pan maneuvering

For a big aircraft excellent
