It wasn't a serious comment anyway - however surely you can look past that and be happy that a fellow european country is doing well??

Whoops, there I go again

Anyway, wasn't this about Ronaldo??

Re: Ronaldo

I cannot stand the fake Ronaldo, his tribbling stepovers are useless, the only thing that he is good at, is winding up Rooney....

The cup belongs to King Henry!

He made a small mistake though, all keepers make some mistakes and he had a bad game, he didnt get sent off. Plus it was his last game after a career of playing well for england.

I want France to win now. Think they might too

He made a small mistake?? Did you see the attempt he made at catching the free-kick? Had he been a United 'keeper then I'm sure it would have been his 'fault'. Petty yes but that was the same attitude as those who blamed Beckham for the loss in 1998.

Re: Ronaldo

but Beckham did a stupid thing that put the team at a disadvantage,
Rooney did the same yesterday.Portugal couldnt break down 10 men so if Rooney was on the pitch then who knows.

But Rooney didn't do much while he was on the pitch, Portugal shut him down at ever opportunity, I seriously believe that it would still have gone to penalties and we'd still have lost.

That takes men to shut him down without rooney these men could do other things so if rooney kept them busy then others could have crept through

We certainly did well to hold them off with 10 men and I don't think winning on penalties is a sure sign of the opposing teams skill, far too much luck involved in scoring.

Re: Ronaldo

I think all the skill there rests with portugals keeper he was a good penalty keeper and no doubt

Re: Ronaldo

tbh I don't know how England made it this far, their performances have been awful from the start. There hasn't been a game yet where they 'deserved' to win. And they certainly didn't yesterday.

Actually the group stages are very similar to league football, you tend to get what you deserve, so whilst in your opinion we did not merit winning our group, there were in fact three teams who deserved to win it less.
