Re: Coming Soon to Virgin Media TV (2017)
Recent changes to services on the VM TV network, other that Sky Ocean Rescue HD:
Quest +1 moved from TS 5 SID 510 to TS 3 SID 315 - just another internal reallocation / musical chairs.
A " Channel Moved" slate, SID 107, now has an active video stream across the VM network. It is also active on the NIT of 2 VM networks used for "testing". The slate shows the E4 Logo with a message " Heads up! E4 has moved to channel 106".
A video capture of the slate can be seen at http://www.digitalbitrate.com/dtv.ph...&sec=0&lang=en
So, it would appear that E4 is about to take the channel 106 slot, vacated by BBC Three, on the EPG. A somewhat controversial move!

ITV to levy £140m+ on Virgin Media and Sky to air its main channel.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin Media TV (2017)
Virgin and Sky should work together against this - either stand up against ITV and pull the plug, or if ITV are certain about the value of their content then make it a premium channel so customers can choose to subscribe if they wish - that way anyone who also has freeview can choose how they prefer to receive the channel.
Why should pay TV customers subsidise ITV, a PSB channel, when its available on Freeview? It ends up being a levy on pay TV.

Indeed. A similar audience to BBC Three but, as BBC Three has been on-demand only for so long, there's unlikely to be anyone still checking for programmes on that EPG slot. I guess the DCMS aren't enforcing PSB EPG prominence rules.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin Media TV (2017)
That would serve them right.
I wonder how they would deal with the 'due prominence' rules if the slot had been reallocated?
Sky Ocean closes tomorrow evening, hardly seemed worth adding it.
I assume that it's because Sky want to look good and/or claim charitable tax relief, without having to spend too much.

If they pull the channel, they obviously aren't interested in due prominence.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin Media TV (2017)
Simple answer from Virgin and Sky should be ok we'll pay the fee if you agree to give up your prominent position you occupy on our EPG.
