Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2

AN ABSOLUTE MUST SEE

I'll start off by saying, and this probably sounds like a contradiction, although I have been looking forward to seeing this all year and was really excited, I kept my expectations low. I loved the trailer for it but I was really worried they was going to overdo Groot but I should have known better. Marvel as always has got this bang on and I honestly believe they have struck the perfect balance in every regard. I loved Groot and thought what they did with him was perfect, I haven't laughed so much in a long time and I had to stop myself from crying at the end (and the lad next to me was). I am not going to go into specifics because I don't want to spoil it for everyone but there were many pleasant surprises with some minor roles for major actors which I didn't know were going to be in the film and once again it is Marvel doing things properly and properly geeking out. It is fantastic.

I have mentioned before that I thought Spiderman is going to be the film of the year this year (and I still think it will be) but Guardians of the Galaxy has definitely set the bar and I cannot emphasise enough how much you need to watch it properly at the cinema.

Re: Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2

It certainly looks pretty good looking at the trailer.

Re: Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2

I really enjoyed the first film, even though the pop-culture obsession with Groot drove me mad (I don't understand it). Still, it was enjoyable and the soundtrack is excellent.

I look forward to seeing Vol. 2 next week!
