Battle: Los Angeles. 6/10

Not keen on the "jerky" camera, a bit too much at times.Plot was too much ID4/Black Hawk Down and had resonance with War of the Worlds. But that said, it still had something.

300 8/10
Bought the DVD ages ago, but hadn't seen the film since we saw it at the cinema. Really enjoyed it. Funny things is while watching it we thought how cool some of it would have been if it had been made in 3d, I think that's the first time we've thought that about a film!

"Limitless" - I thoroughly enjoyed it. 8/10

Adjustment Bureau - I couldn't get into this at all, how I sat through it I don't know. 1/10

Hancock 8/10 better than I thought it was going to be, probably because it was a different film to what I was expecting

Killing Bono 8/10

thanks to Virgin for free tickets, prob would have waited till TV otherwise but really enjoyed it, good comedy/drama. "Nathan" from Misfits is great, shows he can do a film as well as tv.

And swan song for Pete Postlethwaite who was as excellent as ever. Apparently he would have had a larger role if he hadn't been so ill

Re: Rate the last movie you saw

Blues Brothers 8/10
it was on ITV mid week, hadn't seen it since I was a kid, 1st 1/2 is good, sets up the story, then 2nd half is brilliant insane comic road movie fun

Blues Brothers 2000 5/10
again on ITV midweek, hadn't seen it. I spent 1st half thinking it's not so bad as ppl make out, sets up the story nicely, but then 2nd half, rather than subtle nods to 1st film, it just regurgitates same jokes, but the story goes from silly fun to ludicrous nonsense, and I think as great as John landis is, he got bored so put stupid effects in for sake of it

Transporter 7/10
was on Tv a while ago, hadn't got round to watching it, but since 2 was on last night, and 3 is on next week, thought we should watch to see if worth watching other 2.
We enjoyed it, it is what is is, silly nonsense dumb action fun, very much like Police Story style Jackie Chan films

Re: Rate the last movie you saw

"Fair game"
7/10 good acting, reasonable story based on fact, camera work not so good, too much of the hand held shots..very disconcerting.

Source Code 8/10

Not bad at all, some of the plot twists are telegraphed early on but overall pretty good.
