Green Lantern - 7/10
Despite the poor reviews I did actually enjoy the film.

Re: Rate the last movie you saw
Thought I'd posted this, but hey ho..
X-Men: First class 7.5/10. Excellent film, but let down slightly (only slightly) by the actor playing Magneto who isn't as good as he thinks he is.
Bad Teacher: 6/10. Bit predictable, but funny and likable all the same. Cameron Diaz is particularly good (and she looks hot) at playing a bitch, which was a nice change to see as she is usually so nice in films. Lucy Punch (who played the tarty blonde in Hot Fuzz) is excellent as another teacher in the school, and, without giving away too much plot, does a good job of playing Cameron's nemesis.

I held off watching this, after reading the reviews, but want to see it. I remember reading comics many years ago...green lantern was favourite, mind you..so was a lot of other comics...my version of the classics back then

Ignore the reviews and go watch it!
I never listen to what reviewers say. I prefer to watch a film and form my own opinion of it

Re: Rate the last movie you saw
X-Men: First Class. Hmm. They fiddled with the continuity somewhat (Emma Frost shouldn't be in her 20s in 1962, unless they're effectively going back to the comics...in which case it fits. Hmm.), but the SF explanation, i.e. slower aging, was good enough. In Mystique's case, particularly; it's feasible that someone with such a malleable cellular structure would be resistant to aging to some degree.
Casting, certainly, was spot on, except possibly for Magneto (I agree with an earlier post). January Jones, especially, very much looked the part of the White Queen.
Moira McTaggart, though, has been messed with to an unacceptable extent - she was originally a) a geneticist, b) a colleague of Xavier, c) briefly his lover, and d) a redhead!
The Hellfire Club was unjustly glossed over; they caused the X-Men a whole heap o' trouble, not the least of which was the resurgence of Dark Phoenix thanks to Jason Wyngarde's shameless manipulation of Jean Grey. Well, he got what he deserved...
Loved Wolverine's cameo, though!
One thing that bothered me greatly in a review was the notion of Xavier using his telepathy for personal gain, i.e. gettin' some. This is completely anathema to one of the most moral (if imperfect, as shown later) characters ever created in a comic; my first thought was 'Charles Xavier would not do that.' And he didn't. His use of his powers was much more subtle and in keeping with the Charles Xavier who fought Dark Phoenix to a standstill and died (?) doing it.
Green Lantern is next on my list. I deliberately haven't read the reviews. We shall see.

Stargate: The Ark of Truth
(I've been having a Gate-a-thon, and have just re-watched this after having finished SG-1 season 10).
8/10.
Just two seasons of Atlantis left now, plus Continuum.

Re: Rate the last movie you saw
Transformers Dark Of The Moon 3D - 8/10 - Really enjoyed it, Better than the previous two in many ways though can't really beat the first due to the pure nostalgia overdose for someone like myself who grew up watching Transformers.
The action is better than the previous two, the scale is immense, the 3D is pretty good too (Though not as good as Avatars). Some niggly faults and small plot holes here and there but they are so slight you can ignore those and enjoy the film.
Enjoyed it so much I'm going again on Sunday and taking my niece.
