Re: Rate the last movie you saw
I went to see Thor in the Cinema with a friend on Wednesday.
Great film, a bit far fetched in parts but thats what happens when u put Comic Book Charactors onto film.
Id give it 8 out of 10. Also the guy that plays Thor is hot :-D

John Carpenter's Assault on Precinct 13 - 8/10
I love this film, although it is a little dated. The soundtrack is just awesome.

Little Fockers - 1/10 - What can I say? It was dire.
The Green Hornet - 1/10 - I turned this off after a while, as Seth Rogen was annoying me so much...
The King's Speech - 10/10 - I really enjoyed this, which surprised me.
Hanna - 10/10 - It's different, with a good soundtrack

The Pianist - 6/10 very annoying that there is no dialogue, I found myself trying to lip read.

13 Assassins
Japanese Samurai action/drama by Takashi Miike.
A little slow to start with, but the fight scenes are brilliant, and the final battle is bloody epic.
7/10

Ah, a classic, from the golden days when Carpenter actually made good films

Training Day. I watched this for the first time on the weekend and was blown away. Awesome film.
For me it's a 10 out of 10. Denzel deserved his Oscar!

Re: Rate the last movie you saw
Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. 5/10
Generally OK. Bit slow, but it's quite exciting when it speeds up. Not as funny as the first and second.
The good points are Penelope Cruz (as always) looks hot, as do all the actresses playing mermaids. Ian McShane, Geoffrey Rush and Johhny Depp are excellent as Captains Blackbeard, Barberossa and Sparrow respectively.

Re: Rate the last movie you saw
Capote 5/10
Promised to be a good film but dragged on far too long for my liking. Also the actor who played Truman Capote was a bit OTT with his campness, and his portrayal of the perceived way a gay man speaks, and his mannerisms.

I thought the same when I watched it too, but from what I read he really was/acted that way in real life. I thought it made it more difficult and distracting to watch personally. I will get round to watching 'In Cold Blood' though at some point.

Damn. After the horrendous mess that was Pirates 3, I was hoping for a return to form from number 4.
