Not at all - if BT and Sky do carve up all the coverage they will find it difficult to justify an increase in prices even for a few extra games.

My previous post today, gives a solution to how competition should work - rights to all games available to those broadcasters who wish to pay for rights, customer then chooses which supplier to pay based on cost and viewer experience.

What we have at present is a way to fleece the customer.

As for streaming, NRL are streaming their games outside of Australia (and presumably New Zealand) likely cost £22pm - cannot see many taking up that particular offer (apart possibly from Aussie bars in London) - apparently there is a possibility of some games being on a platform such as sky
