What was your highlight of 2017 ?

For me, it was going to the US in August, to see the total eclipse. :cool:

My highlight would be the wonderful big family holiday in the Isle of Wight.:)

Completing the sale of my late mother's house in Cornwall, my share of the proceeds, and now being mortgage free. Yay!

Three main highlights.

California Road trip in June, SF to LA to San Diego.

Oz trip in September, Sydney, Sunshine Coast, Melbourne, with a stop over in Dubai on the way back.

Christmas Day meal with my bro-in-law over from Connecticut, wife, mum-in-law, daughter & son-in-law, and niece and her husband (who live in London) - great family time.

Enjoy your retirement and boat. I'm also lucky that now I don't need to work to keep the wolf from the door and can take the jobs that look like fun rather than just make money.

My highlight of 2017 was removing rubbish from my life and finally having the strength to it. It is one thing to be nice but you don't need to be a doormat in the progress for anyone, even family.

I found out the hard way that I am stronger than I ever thought possible.
