I don't think they need to use tricks, Martin, has in effect, told us what the ending is.

Season 7 has been utterly, utterly, brilliant by the way. The "action" is on American TV now, rather than the rubbish that Hollywood spews out.

Well this sucks, it sounds like season 8 isn't coming out till 2019. I knew they were going to be pushed for time and it was going to be even later next year than it was this year and they mentioned a Fall release date but to push it back into 2019 sucks ass.

If this is causing you to lose sleep, why not watch series 1-7 again over the next year, and make sure you are completely knowledgable for the beginning of series 8?

Remember that after series 8, there is a black hole. No more GoT! This hiatus will help you to adjust!

Not true, the spinoff series is due to come out in 2019 so I wouldn't be surprised if they released season 8 in April as they have done in previous years and then the new series in September to keep them close together and the momentum going as far as audience interest and ratings go.

Game of Thrones is the most pirated series again. Speaks volumes as to how awesome it must be.

Imagine the viewing figures for GoT if had been shown on BBC One after the watershed, it would probably get at least several million viewers. What a shame all the best tv are in places you have to hunt for it and mainstream tv is left with celebrity chefs, reality and other crap.

I think GoT has set the standard for television drama, one where the bar had already been raised by Breaking Bad, but GoT is just so much more fun.

Which is exactly why GoT is delayed until 2019, so they can use the last episodes of that to promote the new spinoff series. It's all about the money with the yanks.

Well, if you don’t make the money, you can’t afford to make more programmes.
